I would like to find a site that has information on the antiques of all kinds, I will not be sold anything.

I need information on antiques. Prices, brands, manufacturers ... Japanese, English, German, to porcelain, china, lead crystal. Especially for tableware, games tea and such. I'm tired of E-Bay, I can not find information about it.

In 1793, Thomas Minton, now a master potter who just finished his apprenticeship as an engraver Josiah Spode copper plate, opened his small ceramic Staffordshire in Stoke-on-Trent, the heart of the English ceramics industry. This small beginning grew into a major manufacturing company ceramic with an international reputation.

Everyone knows the famous "Willow pattern", but did you know that Thomas Minton is regarded as the first recorded this well known print! Minton is said to have been inspired by listening to the ancient Chinese legend of the young daughter of Mandarin rich eloping with his secretary. As shown in the pattern, the young lovers are pursued by the enraged father, however, the goddess of mercy, seeing the drama, it is the couple fled to the swallows that fly together.

Son of Thomas Minton, Herbert (1793-1858), succeeded his father as head of the company and It owes its growth and reputation as a leader of porcelain production.

In the 1820s began producing porcelain. This Minton early is considered comparable to French Sèvres, which was a big influence.

Our lamps Minton sample were made in 1863 and are typical of the high levels reached by this time.

In private correspondence with the UK Wedgwood / Minton Museum, this

pair of devices were described as "very important".

The form was exhibited by Minton in 1862 International Exhibition in London, where they were described as "a pair of vases, celadon ground glass, white rope swags, neck and feet pierced pierced.

The form of vase was recorded in 1863 as "Chinese style".
